Netbook Reflection

Hi my name is Anamei Graham and I am a year 6 student from Pt England School. I like it how we work on our netbook because it is a easier and faster way to learn. Last Last year we had to use a pencil and paper because we were too young for a netbook. Sometimes when we do our task’s on our netbook they can be very challenging.  

My parents think that it is wonderful that we can learn on technology but also it is good to keep up the hand writing because ever since we had technology we dont usually send letters to family and friend’s but now we can use G-Mail , Hotmail , yahoo mail and all sorts of stuff like that.

When we write in our netbook it is very easy because when we type in a mistake it automatically fixes it for you. I think that next year I would definitly have a netbook.

Parents

Hey everyone my name is Anamei Graham and I am going to tell you all about me and my family.

First my Dad he Is like the master of our house he's the boss. My dad works at OCL connecting wires for the phone. My Mum on the other side just goes down to my Nana's and looks after my Granddad But in the olden days she used to work with my Dad but when I came along she had to Quit because she had to look after me.

I love my parents because they look after me and always are on my side. Even if your parents growl you they always love you because your their child. And If you are having a bad time at school they will look out for you. Always remember to respect your parent and they will respect you.

The park

In the weekend I went to St pius to play basket ball with my neighbours. I have a gate that leads you to the St pius school but it is only for my family because we have a key for it and we don't want to have anyone go threw our backyard. I asked my neighbours Lopea , Papila , Tuati and Langa If they were aloud to come  to the park and they said they were aloud.

As soon as we got there we sorted out our teams. We didn't have much players so we ended up laying muster. You know how to play master right. You must. I was the first person to get a goal and I went around the world. Then we went and played on the playground and played the game tag. I was In and finally caught papila and then he caught me!!!

My funny story at camp

Hi my name is Anamei and I am a year six student at pt England school. On the 20th of november we left to got to Kawau Island for a camp called Camp Bentzon. On our way to our destination we saw lots of pine cone trees and saw a dead hedgehog. ooh when I was in the front of the bus I saw a close view of it and I was not happy at all. When we finally made it to our destination I was feeling so sick. Then the ferry was loaded with all our gear and bags we boarded the ferry and I sat inside because up top was a little bit cold. It took an hour to get to Kawau Island.

When we finally arrived we skipped off the ferry and rolled our suitcases out and when we got to our rooms we made our beds. When we came to where we were meant to meet we went for a swim. I jumped of the wharf. For my first jump it was pretty deep but as I got used to it felt like it was getting shallow. Then someone pushed me off and I landed on my back.

Everyone was laughing at me and I was like so ashamed. That was the worst time ever. It wasn't really sore but for the person who pushed me of seriously got into a lot of trouble.

My Pets

Hy my name is Anamei and I have a cat. My cat is named Harry Potter and I love him. I also have 2 fish there names arę Mele the Mum and Colo the daughter. Whenever I feed the fish Like to to play with them They seem to like it when I play with them.


As for Harry when I play with him he scratches me but when I cuddle him he likes it he is very weird.In the middle of the night my cat crawls onto my bed and likes to cuddle up under my arms. I think that it is a spider. But it is not. I love my pets.

There is an Alien in my house

Zane and Leo were working in their room when suddenly there were creaking sounds in the attic. Zane went up into the attic and Leo followed in silence. Zane walked up the stairs and saw a blanket he lifted up the blanket and there it was a big slimey goo. It was like Zane had seen a ghost or something. Zane was like a frozen ice block he didn’t move. Leo crept up behind him and looked at the slimey goo.

He knew who she was because he played video games. The slimey goo was Medusa the snake lady. People say that if you look into Medusa’s eye’s you will turn into stone. Medusa is a character from a movie called clash of the titans. Medusa is a very fierce lady. If you walk into her house you will hear her tail slither.

Zane woke up from his frozen sleep and ran to get Mum. Leo ran behind Zane as if he was in the war. Mum thought that they were lying but she still came up to the attic. When she saw Medusa she was astonished. She rang the police but she was too late Medusa snapped her from the ground. Medusa swallowed Mum in one piece. Medusa had no teeth.

Zane and Leo ran to ring the police luckily the police came very fast and in a rush.
The police shot medusa and cut her body in half and searched for Zane and Leos Mum.
They found her.It was a miracle. Zane and Leo’s Dad came back. He was in disbelief when he saw Medusa.

After all the fuss they decided to go on a trip to Rarotonga. They left shortly after Mum cleaned herself up. Everyone packed bags and travelled to Rarotonga.

Saturday night fever

On Saturday night my Dad, Mum and I watched Real Steal!! As soon as we watched the first bit of the movie my eyes were glued towards the T.V because the movie was just spectacular.

Real Steal is all about a man named Charlie and his son, named Max, who find a robot in the junkyard and decide to take the robot to the league games .Max names his robot Atom. From the start i thought his name was Adam.

Max finds the robot under the mud in the junkyard and Charlie dosn't want to help him bring the trolley down because he thinks that the Robot is a piece of rubbish.They win lots of money winning the Robot Games.I think that controling a robot like that would be very hard because using a controller and plus for a girl that would definitely be hard because girls don't play video games. Atom ends up smashing all these other robots and ends up being the champion!!!

Playing with my neighbors

On Wednesday I went to my Neighbors. I played with my friend charm. He is my friend in my neighborhood. I played tag and hide and go seek with him and He even gave me a lollipop.Then His brothers and cousins came back from tricko treating and played with us.

 We played bottle tops. The aim of the bottle top game is to flick the bottle top into the hole into the ground.
Then I had to go home. When I got home My Mum and Dad were already eating dinner. For dinner we all had our home made boil up.n Mann when I put that lovely boil up in my mouth my eyes started to water up because it was just mouthwatering. 

St Heliers beach

On Sunday M Mum , Dad and I went to the St Heliers Beach. As soon as we got there I ran out with my surfboard and ran straight towards the water. I stood in the water like a  soldier tall and slim. The water was very warm.

As I walked down towards the buoys I felt a slimy tentacle run down my leg I knew that it was something. So I looked down by my legs and it was just a seaweed running down my leg. I saw some massive wave out towards the buoys so I decided to go surf out there.

But as I got there  I was at the channel. I swam back into shore I knew  I wasn't safe at the channel and that I should've left as soon as I realised but hey at least I made it to shore. As I walked along the beach I found some amazing sea shells.

The Day my toy came alive

Emily was stuck inside beside her bed. It was like teardrops from heaven outside.
She was playing with all her toys beside her bed. All of her toys were like soft marshmallows.
Emily come and have your breakfast asked Emily's Mum.

Yum that porridge was delicious. Oh no where arę my toys screeched Emily. Here I am. What who said that ? whispered Emily. Its me Teddy im on your bed dude replied teddy. You can talk. Yeah I can talk. Well only when it is 12 o'clock in the morning.  

Oh no when it is 12 05 i change back into a toy.Byeeeeeeeeeeeee.

On Friday I past division 3 seconds so that mean’s that i am finally on Addition 2 seconds. When I found out that I past Division I was so amazed. Now I can finally answer easier
questions.
Then On Thursday I passed Addition 2 seconds and moved onto
Subtractions 2 seconds. So that means my brain is working after all.

The Holidays

In the Holidays I went to my Nana's house. I went there to stay the night. I was going to stay there for two days but she had to go to pokae.  

 Pokae is when  all the kau matuas and all the nanas go to visit marae. When we got there my Mum dropped me of to a funerel where my nana was. 

Then we had some lunch and returned home. I slept in the lounge and so did my nan but she fell asleep on the couch so I had to put a blanket on her and turn of all the lights in the house.

 When I woke up my nan was already awake. She was making her some breakfast. We went to the Onhunga dress smart and went to the rubi shoe shop. I baught me some jandels and a bag.

Wave Rave

Can you guess where my Mum and I went?
We went to the Pools! When we got to the pools there was a big theme going on. The theme was Hawaiian night!! When we walked into the pools some of the lifeguards were dressed up as Hawaiian ladies. Even the boys were dressed up as Hawaiian Ladies.

As soon as we got to the Pools I got changed into my toggs. After that I dived into the Pool and I nearly bumped my head on the ground. In the pool I saw 4 of my friends. I saw Chloe, Shanika, Tiaha, Ziah and Dhara.

We all went on the rocket. The aim of the rocket is to run across the rocket and if you run the whole rocket that means you won i.t If you fell off then too bad - you lost!

After that one of the lifeguards started up a competition. The competition was heads or tails. I chose tails and Iwon. The prize was a bag with lollies, a drawing pad, a skipping rope and felt tips. After all of that I finally went home because I was really very tired.

Sneezes

One day I was playing on the park with my cousin and brothers they were all playing a game and they were laughing a lot but when I was laughing I sneeze Achoo!!! so loud that it was louder than her baby sister crying . So I run to mum dad and said? I think I have a powerful sneeze and her dad said a powerful sneeze? . I said yes yes I do I will show you see . Then she went in the the van and got the duster and tickled her nose then came out a big sneeze .

But after she sneeze her dad was gone she was calling him then he said up here! Then I said where are you ?? Then I look up the tree and saw that my dad was in the tree . Then he climb  down the tree and said WOW!! That is powerful then I was playing around with my sneeze and but my mum could see what I was doing I was blowing everyone in the air but it was fun for them but they dont no what is happen to them .

Mum came over and said do you know what you're doing and then I said no ? I said you are going to make people sick if you sneeze on them then she said ohh!! no what have I done . Then she said what should I do to make It stop and she said just cover your mouth then later on her cousin came over to just play around with Me . Then I was playing then I sneeze on them then I run downstairs and said mum mum I sneeze on my cousin . Them my mum said its all right you just need to get yous to it .

Then I went back upstairs then I sneeze but I cover my mouth and if you have a big sneeze just cover your mouth and then you won't make people sick .

All about Gymnastics

Do you know what i am studying for this term ? Well I am studying Gymnastics!!!
First of all Gymnastics is a sport involving a lovely performance of exercises requiring flexibility , physical strength and good balance.

Gymnastics involve uneven bars , balance beam , floor exercise and the vault. Mainly this is a womens sport to compete in because it is a very soft delicate and touching event.Men do gymnastics to but in another way.They compete in floor exercise , pommel horse , still rings , vault , parallel bars and the high bar.

There is also another type of gymnastics sports men and women compete in they compete in trampolining , tumbling , rhythmic gymnastics , aerobic gymnastics and acrobatic gymnastics.

Valerie Adams The Queen Of Shot Put

HI my name is Anamei and I am going to tell you all about my favourite Athlete?

Can you guess who is my favourite Athlete is ? Well my favourite athlete is Valerie Adams!!!

She is like the Queen of shot put.Valerie Adams is a very strong woman she is nice to people she never gives up and she always tells the truth.

Valerie Adams is from New Zealand the long white cloud. Valerie Adams Culture is Tongan and Samoan.

Even though Valerie Adams is From Samoa and Tonga does not mean that  she is not a New Zealander.

Valerie Adams weighs 120 kgs.That means that she is a very heavy woman for her age.

Valerie Adams in the Shot put.Did you know that Valerie Adams won 13 gold medals including the Beijing Olympics and alos the london olympics.

When i grow up i would like to be just like Valerie Adams and win lots of gold medals.

The cyber smart kid are in the house

Hi everyone did you know that the cybersmart kids arę in the house and would you like to know all about them? . Well if you arę a nerd out there and you need some advice to be smart kid  like everyone else well you found the right place
.Do you know what cybersmart means? well it means that if you put all your time and effort in one thing the you do that in all the other things you cooperate in.
Well for me i got put in the very fun class and very smart class room 16. My teachers name is Mr Sommerville we just call him Mr S.

The Pools

Hi there can you guess where I went on Sunday? I went to the Panmure swimming pools!

I went to the swimming pools because it was a very hot day and I just wanted to get out of the couch and do something creative.

When we arrived at the swimming pools I went straight to the Ladies changing room then I got changed into my togs and then I went into the pool. When I got in the pool it was cold at first and then it became warm and i got used to it.

After that i did a handstand and my Mum timed me I did the handstand for thirty five seconds.That is a very long time. Then i had a breathing competition and i was under the water for forty five seconds.

Then i got tired of having a breathing competition so i did some do dolphin dive. Dolphins  dive is very fun because you have to just dive of the side of the pool and straight in the water  and you have to swim like a mermaid.

So after a long time i finally decided to go home because it was very late it was about five o'clock when we left. Then we just went home and that was my intrepid journey to the Pools.

Kite Day

On Saturday my parents and I went to the Orakei Marae because it was Kite day. Kite day is a Maori Traditional celebration. This is an event that is part of  Matariki. There were lots of people there that were flying kites , selling food , jewelry and other crafts.

As soon as I got there I bought myself a plate of hangi food. there was also a stage with people dancing and singing. Then my Mum headed over to the information tent to get us a kite. We walked over to where everyone was flying their kites.

We saw a very large whale , a huge teddy bear and a massive  squid. Also there were all kinds of  shaped kites including an alien on a  spacecraft!!! When we tried to fly our kite it kept twirling around and down into the ground ,no luck! We will definitly be going back next year because it was so nice to see smiles on everyones faces!!!

This is me as an olympic champion! I wish that I could be a star at shot put when iI grow up. I hope you like it!

Go for Gold

 Can you guess what Pt england school did on Monday? We had a Immersion assembly. Because we just came back from a two week holiday. Our Theme for this term is Go For Gold. Basically it’s about the London Olympics because the London Olympics are coming up. And also its about perseverance and practicing to be a champion. People participate in the London Olympics games. Even a 11 year old girl entered for gymnastics she was amazing because she practiced and practiced and practiced then she became a famous gymnast.

Team 1 inspired us in believing in yourself that you can do it and that you will need to practice running or what ever you like to do and no remember to keep on trying.
Team 2 gave us some special facts about a famous runner,boxer,gymnast and a horse rider. They told us that many years ago that no women could not enter the olympics because people would think that the men would win and the women will louse.And that was not fear.


I really did like Team 3 because they showed some real action because Mrs lavakula had a friend fight with Mr Barks and Mrs Lavakula won against Mr Bark's and Mr barks got scared so he ran away and never returned.These three teams were the best.

Time to visit the country side

Can you guess where me and my mum went yesterday? We went to a farm , there were cows , ducks also horses. I got into my gum boots with zebra patterns all over and decided to walk into the paddock with my stick. I took my stick into the paddock just in case a cow or horse tried to approach me attack me. But unfortunately they avoided me.

I took some grass with me and tried to attracted the cows to me but they never really noticed me. I walked near a pond. Then I saw these two heads pocking out of a bush and there they were the horses behind the bush. I attracted them to me and Iheld some grass out in my hand and the walked to me and ate the grass at first I was scared but the horses were very gentle with me. The horse nearly bit my finger. Remember never stand behind a horse because they can kick you.

Scary dog story

Something brushed up against my foot and my surprise turned to horror as I looked down and saw a cute little puppy. I decided to take it home with me. But as i was walking home the little puppy's skin came and it wasn't a puppy anymore it was a adult dog. I ran home as fast as i can and hid under my bed. The dog had sharp teeth. Then suddenly the dog was in my room. Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh . what had happened we dont know.

My favorite thing for term 2 2012

It is now the final week of term 2  2012.
And i am feeling excited because the holidays are coming up.
I decided to draw a picture of what i loved. I drew Music.
Music is all about passion and confidence. To create a song you will have to practice  because if you practice you will get better  at what you love.I loved it so much that i decided to join P.E.P.A. I joined bella.

The rugby world cup is bringing lots of people to New Zealand,but there arę more here then just a cup. Some people In New Zealand arę Kiwis because a kiwi was an animal that lives in New Zealand. In New Zealand there arę indigenous Maori people. In New Zealand there arę native animals, like Kiwis, Tuatara, Weta and fantails. Kiwis are animals from New Zealand. Art Alive

Hi there can you guess what we are focusing on this term? We are focusing on Art Alive. Basically you can call it Art but here we call it Art Alive. We have been watching Art movies on our class site.

There are some amazing things people can use their brain for. They can use their brain and paint on the concrete and they can make it look like its 3D. They arę profecinles at painting art.They can use spray paint and paint or you can use paint but i would really like to think outside the box and create something noone else has created.

But for me as a kid I could never do that only if I were patient and had a good hand to draw with.And if i had the time to do that but for me I am a busy person. I have Maths reading topic and writing. Art is all about patience and focus. I love to paint but I just don't know how to.Id love to chat but I got to go By I hope you enjoiyed my story.

All Blacks vs Ireland

All blacks vs Ireland

Hi there can you guess what I watched on Saturday night at 7:30pm? I watched the All Blacks Vs Ireland!!! At 7:25 I was so excited to Support and watch the All Blacks Vs Ireland on the TV. As the All Blacks ran out onto the field I got the popcorn ready. I was supporting the All Blacks. After the All Blacks national Anthem they scattered out onto the field to get ready to do the the Haka. Piri Wepu got ready to lead them through the haka then they caught onto the words of the haka and they did their actions.

After the haka we were waiting for Daniel Carter to kick the ball all the way to Ireland's half of the field. Julian Savea ran threw like the wind past two Ireland players then caught the ball and scored the try! All the All Blacks supporters were up and out of their seats as they were so amazed at what Julian Savea did. As Daniel Carter got ready to take the conversion all the All Black supporters were like you can do this and all that kind of stuff supporters do. Did he kick it threw the posts? Yes! The points are 7 to The All blacks and 0 to Ireland.

It was ireland's ball, neck minute we got a penalty (I dont know what for but we got a penalty!) Daniel Carter got ready to kick he kicked it threw the goal post. The crowd went wild they were screaming out loud yeah.The All Blacks score is now 10 and ireland 0. I was screaming my head off when they got a try. Julian Savea is my favourite player because he is speedy fast.

Art Alive Information

Time to go fishing

On Thursday my cousins, Nana, my niece and I went fishing. My family and I went fishing at the wharf. We went fishing at 8:00pm till 9:00pm. It was dark and cold. We used frozen fish for our bait. I didn't like the smell of the bait because it smelled like the ocean. We caught a crab the size of a square rubber. I hope you enjoyed my story.

Dr Ben Carson

On Tuesday we went to see Ben Carson .We lean that we had to read books because you can lean things from it.He told us that people all ways said he is a dummy but he said Okay Okay I am a dummy you no why because he didn’t believe that he can’t be smart.But when he was little he through rocks at cars but when he pick up the rock he got it went inside and read a book about it.Then at school the teacher said what is this rock then Ben Carson new what it was call but he waited for someone to put there hand up because you no because he was the dummy.Then no one put there hand up so he put his hand up then the kids said look the dummy has some thing to say and then they got ready because they think that it was going to be funny but then it was not then the teacher said that's right.Then all day he read books and then all the kids said to he whats that whats this then he told them .He knows it wrong but it felt good that all of them came up to me now they think I’m smart. Then he talk so fast that it sound like he was saying bla bla bla it was cool it sounded smart all my friends were amaze when he said it and me to we said WOW after that we sang the Duffy song .After that we said good bye to him and then said thank you Ben Carson for telling us that story then we went back to school in the bus The End.

Dream World

Hi my name is Anamei,I am 9 years old. Last night I had a wonderful dream. It was about me in a world that let you have anything you want all you have to do is say what you want and it will appear for you. That world was called Dream world. There I was standing in the middle of a plain world. I said I would like a castle made out of diamonds and next minute it was right there I went inside and it was so shiny. Then I sad ill have a 10 quality sized bedrooms with a king sized bed and a chandelier in each room. I wished for heaps of dresses made out of feathers and a room called the lollie room filled with lollies then theres a pet room filled with pets. A kitchen filled with food. Then a car in a garage ,limozeen , 10 guards 4 inside and 6 outside,9000000000. I had anything I ever wanted.The only problem was that i didn’t have any friend’s.I was alone. I woke up from my dream and smiled. I was amazed.

Duffy Theatre

Kio Ra My name is Anamei,and i am in room 16. Can you guess what room16 did on the 15th of February? Well we went to the hall and met all the other students,because we were going to watch the Duffy Theatre. In the Duffy Theatre there were four characters. One named Duffy another named scruffy and finally The best book in the world.

Scruffy and The best book in the world started to sing the Duffy song and Duffy was playing the guitar. We all started to sing with them. It was cool because we all sounded great. Then after we sang the song we all had to be silent because they were acting.

They were acting out that Duffy has a daughter and scruffy was the daughter they named her Annabell.It was her birthday tomorrow so Duffy had to go look for a present.He walked in to a book store and saw heaps of books as he was going to buy a book he looked at the best book in the world.

So he buyed it.The day has came for Annabells birthday present .Duffy gave her it she loved.She opened it up and read it she went on trips with the book.

My favourite thing that i liked about Duffy Theatre was that i got to be a character.The character that i was was a book.

My hair colour is black red and brown and the colour of my eyes is brown.My favourite sport is netball. I like it because you can achieve a medal because it gives you a challenge against other teams.I have a favourite Band that band will have to be one direction because they all have great voices. My favourite animals are dogs, rabbits and cats. My favourite T.V programme is h20`just add water. My favourite movies arę the Journey to the Mysterious Island, Harry Potter and Little Miss Sunshine.

My favourite thing to eat will have to be sausage rolls. My favourite PlayStation game is Harry Potter. My favourite computer game will have to be pinball and friv. And my favourite book is Charlotte's web.My hobbies are rugby tennis netball softball and baseball. My favourite subject at school is reading and writing my worst will be maths. My family members will be my two big brothers named ngaroma and Justin.And then comes all my auntys and uncles and cousins.

My freinds are chloe, mya, cheyanne, mele, wakatere, dara and giselle. My pets are fluffy the rabbit tiari the dog harry the cat brandy the dog and mele and colo the fish. In the future i would like to be a flight attendant.
