Go for Gold

 Can you guess what Pt england school did on Monday? We had a Immersion assembly. Because we just came back from a two week holiday. Our Theme for this term is Go For Gold. Basically it’s about the London Olympics because the London Olympics are coming up. And also its about perseverance and practicing to be a champion. People participate in the London Olympics games. Even a 11 year old girl entered for gymnastics she was amazing because she practiced and practiced and practiced then she became a famous gymnast.

Team 1 inspired us in believing in yourself that you can do it and that you will need to practice running or what ever you like to do and no remember to keep on trying.
Team 2 gave us some special facts about a famous runner,boxer,gymnast and a horse rider. They told us that many years ago that no women could not enter the olympics because people would think that the men would win and the women will louse.And that was not fear.


I really did like Team 3 because they showed some real action because Mrs lavakula had a friend fight with Mr Barks and Mrs Lavakula won against Mr Bark's and Mr barks got scared so he ran away and never returned.These three teams were the best.

Dr Ben Carson

On Tuesday we went to see Ben Carson .We lean that we had to read books because you can lean things from it.He told us that people all ways said he is a dummy but he said Okay Okay I am a dummy you no why because he didn’t believe that he can’t be smart.But when he was little he through rocks at cars but when he pick up the rock he got it went inside and read a book about it.Then at school the teacher said what is this rock then Ben Carson new what it was call but he waited for someone to put there hand up because you no because he was the dummy.Then no one put there hand up so he put his hand up then the kids said look the dummy has some thing to say and then they got ready because they think that it was going to be funny but then it was not then the teacher said that's right.Then all day he read books and then all the kids said to he whats that whats this then he told them .He knows it wrong but it felt good that all of them came up to me now they think I’m smart. Then he talk so fast that it sound like he was saying bla bla bla it was cool it sounded smart all my friends were amaze when he said it and me to we said WOW after that we sang the Duffy song .After that we said good bye to him and then said thank you Ben Carson for telling us that story then we went back to school in the bus The End.

Dream World

Hi my name is Anamei,I am 9 years old. Last night I had a wonderful dream. It was about me in a world that let you have anything you want all you have to do is say what you want and it will appear for you. That world was called Dream world. There I was standing in the middle of a plain world. I said I would like a castle made out of diamonds and next minute it was right there I went inside and it was so shiny. Then I sad ill have a 10 quality sized bedrooms with a king sized bed and a chandelier in each room. I wished for heaps of dresses made out of feathers and a room called the lollie room filled with lollies then theres a pet room filled with pets. A kitchen filled with food. Then a car in a garage ,limozeen , 10 guards 4 inside and 6 outside,9000000000. I had anything I ever wanted.The only problem was that i didn’t have any friend’s.I was alone. I woke up from my dream and smiled. I was amazed.

Duffy Theatre

Kio Ra My name is Anamei,and i am in room 16. Can you guess what room16 did on the 15th of February? Well we went to the hall and met all the other students,because we were going to watch the Duffy Theatre. In the Duffy Theatre there were four characters. One named Duffy another named scruffy and finally The best book in the world.

Scruffy and The best book in the world started to sing the Duffy song and Duffy was playing the guitar. We all started to sing with them. It was cool because we all sounded great. Then after we sang the song we all had to be silent because they were acting.

They were acting out that Duffy has a daughter and scruffy was the daughter they named her Annabell.It was her birthday tomorrow so Duffy had to go look for a present.He walked in to a book store and saw heaps of books as he was going to buy a book he looked at the best book in the world.

So he buyed it.The day has came for Annabells birthday present .Duffy gave her it she loved.She opened it up and read it she went on trips with the book.

My favourite thing that i liked about Duffy Theatre was that i got to be a character.The character that i was was a book.
